This 3 part Case Based Learning (CBL) Workshop Series explores a variety of diabetes related case scenarios, in order to assess the current clinical presentation, consider options for management and arrive at conclusions and short / longer term goals and targets.
This 3 part Case Based Learning (CBL) Workshop Series explores a variety of diabetes related case scenarios, in order to assess the current clinical presentation, consider options for management and arrive at conclusions and short / longer term goals and targets. Equally, importantly, they aim to consider strategies for patient engagement and participation in their self-care behaviours. The 3 workshops will build from issues around diagnosis, acceptance and early therapy options, to more advanced treatment options and finally diabetes acute and chronic complications management. Delegates should feel more empowered and confident, with clinical assessment and decision making in diabetes, with its multiple treatment choices and be able to further build on their strategies for patient engagement. The evidence discussed within these workshops, will be supported by verbalised or slide references for further reading and exploration if required.

Paul has over 20 years’ experience in diabetes management in Primary Care and Secondary Care Settings in Brighton, Leicester and York and more recently worked as a half-time Lecturer Practitioner in Diabetes at the University of York and an External Examiner for the University of Ulster.
