Women’s healthcare has been one of the aspects of care most impacted by the COVID pandemic with gynaecology waiting times being one of the longest for all specialties. Much of the care needed to support women’s health problems can be offered in out-of-hospital settings, with opportunities for prevention and early intervention.
Learning outcomes:
This session will use cases typically presenting to primary care, to discuss some of the
common issues and how latest evidence can be applied to management. It is well
recognised that teaching, in the form of case based discussion, is highly effective in
understanding the management of a wide variety of Women’s Health clinical scenarios.
Dr Connolly will cover different content from her previous two presentations, this year
with Mediconf. This will ensure that returning delegates will be able to gain new
knowledge, from attendance at this event.
Clinical outcomes:
It is anticipated that following this session delegates will achieve:
An improved understanding of managing women’s health concerns using a personalized
life course approach.
Appreciate the latest evidence for the management of a number of women’s health
concerns commonly presenting to us in primary care.
Explore options to improve the pathway of care for women in your local network.
