The NHS Workforce Conference 2021: Putting people at the forefront of plans

Our NHS is made up of 1.3 million people who care for the people of this country with skill, compassion and dedication. We must make the NHS an employer of excellence – valuing, supporting, developing and investing in our people. NHS England and Improvement

We are hugely excited to announce our first post covid, in-person event, our Putting people at the forefront of plans: The NHS Workforce Strategy Congress will take place in central Manchester, Chamber of Commerce on September 21st 2021.

The new NHS people plan sets out actions to support transformation across the whole NHS with a particular focus on;
• Driving more people into training and education, and recruitment to ensure that NHS services are appropriately staffed
• Embracing new ways of working in teams, across organisations and sectors, and supported by technology
• Providing a compassionate and inclusive culture building on the motivation at the heart of our NHS to look after and value its people, create a sense of belonging and promote a more inclusive service and workplace so that our people will want to stay.

During the COVID-19 response, NHS staff have shown energy, creativity and drive in finding solutions to new problems. The NHS needs to harness that, as part of our commitment to make real and lasting change for our people.
