This online tutorial will offer a review of the main urgent and emergency ocular conditions and how they typically present.
The main categories of conditions covered are serious red eye conditions, ocular injury and sudden loss of vision. An overview of these conditions will be given, highlighting the key clinical features and red-flag signs and symptoms. Management and best course of action will be discussed from the perspective of the GP.
There will also be time for questions and answers at the end of the tutorial.

Mr Stanley Keys
Stanley has been a hospital optometrist for 20years and is currently based in Inverness. His main clinical interests are in glaucoma and acute/urgent eye conditions. Throughout his career he has had a keen interest in eye-care education providing live lectures and online teaching across a range of clinical topics to optometrists, GPs and Ophthalmic Nurses. He developed the website Optometry-Evolution which provides a platform for a lot of his teaching and educational resources.
